About Us

KuroKiiro Cafe is a maid cafe and host club based out of Pittsburgh, PA. Founded by Tekkoshocon, INC, our first show was the KuroKiiro Festival 2010 at the Boyd Community Center. Since then, we’ve served at Lolita Crush at Ohayocon 2011, made guest appearances at Tekkoshocon IX’s Charity Auction & Luncheon as well as a special performance at Closing Ceremonies, appeared as guests at Chiisaicon 2011 alongside Vic Mignogna, and we’ll be providing the full cafe experience at this year’s KuroKiiro Festival!

Interested in having us for your own event? Let us know what you need! We are able to provide many different kinds of entertainment with as few or many hosts and maids as you require.

Frequently Asked Questions

What exactly is the KuroKiiro Cafe?
We are a traveling cafe modeled after the maid & butler cafes that have become popular in Japan. We perform, entertain, and above all else, strive to give our guests the best service possible.

Can you elaborate a bit more? I’m still confused.
The maid cafe phenomenon started in Japan in 2001. The cafe members are more than just your standard waiter/waitress – each one of us truly wants to be there, loves being there, and wants to do our best in serving each one of our guests. We love having conversation with our guests, and entertaining them with dances and games.

Is that all?
Of course not! Our members are very talented, as well as learned, and we are capable of speaking on a wide variety of subjects. We’ve hosted panels ranging from Gothic Lolita fashion, to the history of geisha, to J- and K-pop dance instruction. We love teaching our guests everything we can!

This sounds like fun – how can I join?
Right now our roster is full, but if we open up auditions we’ll post it here as well as on our Facebook Page. Thank you for your interest!

I’m with a convention/school/awesome event, and I want you to come and perform/run a cafe. How about it?
That would be wonderful! Please email us at cafe@kurokiiro.com and we’ll see if we can work something out. <3
